your body loves you.

unconditionally.

I don't have the authority of a medical professional. I can share my personal experience and perhaps it will resonate with you and give you a different perspective or insight to your own self care.

Flow

Fostering flow is self care

Flow of blood, of lymph.

Exercise doesn't have to be uncomfortable. If you haven't been sweating and breathing hard, don't start there. Benefits come from moving your body. Your major muscle 💪🏻 groups help move blood and lymph when they contract.

Massage. Rub yourself. Rub your joints, your neck, your tummy, the back of your knees, wherever you like.

Touch yourself with love in the intent of your hands. Run your hands up and down your limbs.

Stretch. Not to push or punish yourself. Just because it feels good, and only when it feels good. Dance. Let yourself move. Let your movement foster the flow of fluids in your body.

This is my story. Of not being able to exercise without being wiped out. Finding ways to move while keeping my heart rate low.

Yoga this morning

Exercise with love for my body.

Standing, and letting the love light suffuse through me...

It's a whole different sensation than exercise because it's good for me.

your body loves you.

unconditionally.

Your body loves you.

Your body is doing its absolute best to please you, like the most loyal dog.

Your body picks up on the energy of your thoughts, like a dog 🐕 responds to their person's fear or excitement.

Your body will eat what is there to eat and take the consequences, just like your best canine friend. Whether it leads to a shiny coat or a pot belly. Including the chocolate you leave out on the counter, even if it sends you to the doctor.

Your body will do it's best to run for the ball and bring it back, even if it's exhausted and should take a break.

Your body needs you to love it back. To notice the fatigue or the sore paw and not throw that last ball. To understand the temptation of chocolate and not leave it on the counter. To set good limits and go for walks and soothe your thoughts when fear isn't appropriate.

Your body needs you to love yourself with all the same awareness, tender care and acceptance and delight you would bring to your best friend, canine, feline or human.
